He is regularly called upon to undertake strategic reviews at critical project milestones, to lead feasibility studies, to facilitate risk workshops or to formulate and assess delivery options.
Martin brings extensive experience in establishing commercial principles and contract risk allocations which are tailored to the project and market setting. He also brings his extensive knowledge of the realities of project delivery when establishing performance regimes and incentive structures to drive project outcomes. He has become a leading exponent in the transaction phase of projects and has strengths in managing whole-of-life financial assessments.
Martin has been intimately involved in Victoria’s wide-ranging program of transport projects, with key leadership roles on the Port Capacity Project, CityLink Tulla Widening, West Gate Tunnel, Monash Freeway Upgrade, Western Roads Upgrade and Melbourne Metro. His knowledge base extends into multiple sectors, including various forms of social Infrastructure, and he has worked on projects adopting various delivery methods, including PPP, Alliancing, D&C, Managing Contractor and Construction Management.
