Peter has 35 years professional experience on the development and delivery of major transport projects across Australia, New Zealand and around the world. He has established a strong reputation for transport advice with a focus on major road and rail corridor projects including PPP projects across the eastern seaboard. Several toll road PPP projects have included due diligence roles supporting the transactions for market-led proposals (such as NorthConnex) or sale of toll road assets (WestConnex and QML Asset Sale) or future business planning (EastLink).
Peter has outstanding stakeholder management skills and is a skilled facilitator of options analysis for project evaluations and feasibility studies as well as business case studies and economic evaluations. His recent experience includes major transport corridor studies for the Victorian and Queensland State Governments (including the AUD$12b Melbourne Metro Rail Link Project). He is highly regarded for work in the areas of transport planning and policy, providing advice to governments and private sector clients in relation to strategic network modelling, transport planning and options development and assessment.
Peter also has a strong interest in future network planning including the impact of disruptors such as automated vehicles as well as the application of state-of-the-art technologies to project evaluations.
His specialities are toll road patronage forecasting advice, transport planning, transport economics and transport modelling, transport (highways and rail) route/corridor planning studies, arterial road traffic management studies and road hierarchy studies.
