Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre

The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) is Australia’s first facility of its kind – conceived and designed to save lives by connecting the world’s best in cancer research, education, treatment, and care.

The purpose-built centre-of-excellence, located in the prestigious Melbourne Biomedical Precinct is home to cancer research, clinical services and educational facilities for Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne Health, and the University of Melbourne.

The overall project included refurbishment to and an extension above the Royal Melbourne Hospital under a separate managing contractor model.

Ontoit’s John Wiles assisted the Department of Health and Human Services in managing interfaces with the PPP concession, assessing contractor claims and reviewing the status of the project program. John was a member of the project leadership group.
