The Public Housing Renewal Program will grow and sustain the supply of social housing in Victoria and improve the quality and suitability of homes in public housing estates. Ontoit.’s involvement includes the renewal of eight sites in Brunswick West, Clifton Hill, Flemington, Heidelberg West, North Melbourne, Northcote, Prahran and Preston.
By partnering with property developers, the Director of Housing will unlock land value to partially fund the reconstruction of an increased number of public houses on each site, plus improve the social cohesion through tenure blind design and promoting communities within the estates.
The Program requires significant logistical effort to manage relocation of existing tenants, demolition and reconstruction in stages to ensure no reduction of properties available for persons eligible for Public Housing.

The restoration of historic Princes Pier in Port Melbourne, which is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register, revived a redundant state-owned landmark into a modern, serviced and flexible public space.
The award-winning project involved removing the existing deck structure, reconstructing 196 metres of pier, including repairing piles to support a new concrete deck, refurbishing the gatehouse and constructing a sculptural timber centrepiece.

St Kilda Triangle, a 15,000m² Crown land site next to iconic landmarks Luna Park and the Palais Theatre.
After extensive consultation in 2012, the City of Port Phillip released a vision and framework to consider multiple concepts for the precinct. Council recommended the site consider cultural connections, support the Palais Theatre, include a park and improve the pedestrian crossing across the adjacent busy road, Jacka Boulevard. In 2015, Ontoit (then ISG Projects) was engaged to deliver a road map defining the way forward for council including steps required to prepare, finalise and implement a master plan through a codesign process with the community.

Situated at the heart of Melbourne, 664 Collins Street is a nine-storey office building, created by Mirvac, linking the city centre to Southern Cross Rail Station and the retail and entertainment complex at Docklands.
The state-of-the-art development features an elevated skydeck and arcade connecting business and shopping hubs at Collins and Bourke Streets. Due to the building’s position near rail lines 15 and 16 at Southern Cross, Ontoit worked with V/Line, Australia’s largest regional public transport operator, and government authorities, to ensure the safe delivery of the project.
